Merry-go-round

This is a model of a merry-go-round or carousel. I bought some crankshafts (part number 134) some time ago, with the specific intention of making this model. The model rotates on a thrust bearing which reflects a prototypical merry-go-round, which would have a central bearing which could be transported on the back of a lorry.

There is a Set 10 Modelplan available of a more elaborate merry-go-round (which I may build in due course), but this one has the attraction of simplicity, and the mechanics being clearly demonstrated.
