This is my second attempt at building a strip and plate bender for Meccano. It is more robust than the first attempt, and is attached to a rigid wooden base.
The legs of the strip bender are made from angle girders, and reinforced with strips. The modern narrow plastic collar provides clearances from the grubs screws on the coupling.
The rollers are from Ashok, and are attached to modern tri-flat axles to prevent slipping. Pinions at both ends of the axles ensure maximum torque.
The distance of the legs determines the curve of the rollers, and is adjusted via a screwed rod. Slide pieces on narrow strips provide the runners.
